national/civil war

With the increasing tensions and polarizing politics which are present here in the U.S. - as well as other places in the world today - we must consider the possibility that we may experience some sort of urban warfare.  Our impression & false sense of security - which is born from decades of stability in a two party system is coming to an end.  Like the fall of Rome & other large empires - one day it is likely that the U.S. will face opposing factions at war again (i.e. Civil War).

Introspect about the trend this decade (2020) is going points our minds toward the realization that not only our perception of the 1st Amendment (Free Speech) is twisted into a "political correctness" litmus test - but coincidentally - our major media outlets are now polar opposites with clear "sides" they have chosen.  The result is an increased skew in the reality of where our nation stands today.  Watching one side of the news or the other results in one aligning far one way or another.  It seems that he who screams loudest (whether the minority of screamers - or not) WINS.  

This continued polarization and quest for the unblurring of what one considers "right vs. wrong" - is sure to lead us into a skirmish.  What level will this escalate?  Nobody knows for now.  But one thing is certain - you will be forced to pick a side at some point.  Hopefully, the leaders at the national level can maintain order and preserve the constitution as it was written.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO PREPARE?

1. Mentally try to disengage from all the hype & focus on yourself & family.  Get off the Wikipedia, FaceBook & Twitter.  Most of what you see there is fake news.  Turn off the TV for a while.  Don't be delusional - coercively twisted into believing everything the media tells you.  The "fact-checkers" are delusional.
2. Do the basics as listed on other pages of our site for preparation.  Stock up on resources (food, water, defense).
3. Plan ahead your situation - where you live, your alliances, escape plan.
4. Fortify your position.  If you are not leaving your residence - then fortify it.  Think about protecting it from fire (fire retardant spray).  Also, have a plan to fortify the doors & windows.  Have barrier materials (wood, metal, razor wire, trip lines, fencing, etc).
5. If you "dig-in" & stay - have deterrents that reach beyond your property line (motion sprinklers, fireworks, elevated/roof vantage point)
